New directions

At last!  I have finally bitten the bullet and ordered a high-spec 27 inch ASUS screen for use with a desktop PC.  It will be good to be on a computer again, but I am apprehensive about whether I will be able to do it justice.

I decided on Windows because I am already familiar with it and I know more people who can help if I get stuck. What would I do without such good friends?

This isn’t to say that mac doesn’t still have its attractions!

The Bank Holiday weekend was glorious.  The family came up and we all went to Warwick Castle.  The children particularly enjoyed the Horrible History section and the rat tossing and ended up with skeleton face painting.  It is expensive but there’s plenty to do, and I was able to take an enabler in free of charge.  The setting is so beautiful and to see the eagles flying against the castle walls was stunning.  I was sad not to be able to see more of the birds of prey display but enjoyed the commentary.

Next week, I’m travelling across country to Suffolk.  This will be the first time travelling alone by train into unfamiliar territory since my eyesight deteriorated.  Fingers crossed!  The prospect of a family birthday party is a good incentive.
